Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Jr Buyer Direct located in Aguascalientes.
Reporting to the Purchasing Direct Supervisor, the Jr Buyer Direct role involves identifying various sources of commodities and services, evaluating bids, awarding contracts and purchase orders, developing standards for new products or services, maintaining contact with vendors, and maintaining comprehensive descriptions of available products and current prices.
What a typical day looks like:
- Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability & lead time.
- Determines methods of procurement, such as direct purchase.
- May gather quotations, examine bids, negotiate contracts, and make awards.
- Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased & costs per supplier.
- Negotiate liability for excess and obsolete materials management.
- Monitor and make strategies for materials through the product life cycle, considering the price, MOQ, etc.




- Interfaces with suppliers and customers to secure both delivery and the best market price.
- Makes tactical buying decisions.
- Executes corporate sourcing programs and purchasing standards.
- Prepares and/or reviews bid requests and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
- Estimates values according to the knowledge of the market price.
- Lead the purchase and acquisition of direct material in the new program launches with materials planner & PM support in order to ensure a successful SOP.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
- Junior experience in a similar position and/or in manufacturing companies.
- Intermediate English.
- Knowledge in some ERP, INCOTERMS, Customs & Foreign Trade (Inbound & outbound).
- Knowledge in Planning.
- Office Package.
