Maintain purchasing goals/metrics, develop purchasing policy and procedures and guide and mentor the team with regard to all purchasing activities to ensure value is achieved providing maximum value to the business.What a typical day looks like:Assist management to establish roles and duties of purchasing goalsDrive for Inventory Turn Over improvement per site targetsManage and optimize inventory at target levelsDrive for 100% supplier on time deliveryInitiate inventory control/cost containment to give in Purchase Price VarianceSupervise the team in the management of the supply chain to achieve continuous timely supply of parts and servicesWork closely with the team to ensure purchasing compliance to corporate directivesReview controls to reduce exposures on End of Life Projects to minimize exposure on obsolete stockHelp corporate excess materials internal programs (as appropriate)Deal with day-to-day operational issues with staff and act as escalation to unresolved HR issues to managementStreamline Purchasing processes and develop integrated purchasing strategies to effectively manage the suppliers on order fulfillment and assurance of supplyDirect, develop & implement policies, procedures, and metrics to effectively manage materials shortages & ensure order fulfillment.Creates and presents customized reporting using Microsoft Excel (reports for top purchasing management)Experience with high volume manufacturing, SMT, automated linesCreate an environment that fosters team building & high performanceInterface with both internal & external stakeholders to derive achievable targets, set up strategic plan and drive the team towards meeting the target as set forthThe experience we're looking to add to our team:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and extensive knowledge of purchasing policies and practicesGuadalajara, South CampusFluent English, must have strong verbal and written communication skillsExperience in the purchasing/procurement area.Supplier management and vendor communication.Manufacturing experience preferredCPIM and CPM preferredAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
