As a **Capacity Engineer**in the **SaaS Engineering Strategic Operations**team, you will ensure cloud capacity availability, optimization, and efficiency for Oracle's integral SaaS products.
You'll work closely with **32+ SaaS product teams**, translating OCI cloud technology into actionable capacity strategies to improve **service reliability, cost efficiency, and long-term forecasting (1-5 years out).
**
**What You'll Do**
- **Capacity Planning & Forecasting**- Analyze, predict, and optimize SaaS cloud capacity, ensuring infrastructure availability and efficiency.
- **Data-Driven Decision Support -**Leverage data science techniques to analyze capacity trends, build predictive models, and optimize resource utilization.
Be familiar with OAL to build reports, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance provisioning and cost efficiency.
- **Technical Leadership**- Understand and communicate cloud capacity topologies, dependencies, and optimization strategies across mid-tier, database, storage, and networking stacks.




- **Automation & Optimization**- Define and prioritize automation strategies for capacity management, reducing manual intervention and improving operational efficiency.
- **Cross-Team Collaboration**- Work with engineering, product, and executive leadership to align capacity needs with SaaS growth and strategic initiatives.
**What You Bring**
- Experience with **cloud capacity planning, forecasting, and optimization**in a SaaS or any cloud environment.
- Strong understanding of **cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, database)**and service scalability.
- Hands-on experience with **automation, orchestration, and data-driven decision-making**in cloud operations.
- Ability to **translate technical data into business impact**and drive strategic initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
