**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Essential Functions:
- Define, implement and leads indirect purchasing processes and controls
- Lead commodity strategies for tool crib components
- Assist to implement Kanban, VMI initiatives
- Identify Benchmark and submit Cost Deployment initiative
- Manage Inventory Targets for Tool crib inventory
- Manage Obsolete Inventory Process for Tool crib Inventory
- Expedite Critical material
- Manage Escalation process on bad delivery suppliers
- Understand and meets Quality and EHS procedures
- Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
- Knows and Communicates the need for product safety.
- The employee has the authority to stop the production line, when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect.
- Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members
- Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.
Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Reports to plant Materials Manager
- Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees.
Co-ops or students may report to this position.
Knowledge:
- Demonstrated knowledge on Purchasing Policies, negotiations and procurement procedures




- Demonstrated on manufacturing environment, including performance management
- Demonstrated Problem Solving Methods
- MS Office Expert with experience on tables and charts
**Experience**:
- Experience in developing Purchasing strategies
- Proven results driving supplier performance
- Proven results driving cost deployment projects
- 3-5 years on purchasing experience, automotive industry desired
- SAP ERP knowledge
**Skills**:
- Purchasing and Procurement Procedures
- Strong dedication and works ethic
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills (Spanish and English)
- Self-Starter and high level of self-motivation
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree required, Business Administration or related.
