SUMMARY
- Manage and develop the QA & QC related activities of Donaldson Monterrey plant.
- Manage the vendors development by training, auditing & qualification process, while ensuring vendors are following the engineering, QHSE and manufacturing guidelines.
- Develop and ensure continuous improvement on internal and external QA/QC processes with the objective to reach high customer satisfaction and to support business growth.
- Representative of the Management for the Quality of the plant, in order to coordinate and support actions with major customers, engineering, product development, project management teams.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
EDUCATION:
- Master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- The following certifications will be an advantage:
- Certification in Welding such as AWS CWI
- Certification in NDT such as ASNT Level II
- Certification in Painting such as AMPP/NACE coating Inspector.
- Certification in auditing such as ISO****:**** lead auditor or ASQ CQA.
- Green or Black belt certification in Lean Six Sigma
EXPERIENCE:
- Min 10 years of experience in managing Quality related activities in Heavy Engineering & metal fabrication industry and at least 3 years in a management role.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCES:
- Management skills & should have the ability to develop a strong team,



implement new quality processes driven by KPI's and continuous improvement concepts.
- Working knowledge about production manufacturing QA concepts such 6 Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Lean Thinking philosophy.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Computer skills, including MS office.
- Prior experience as an inspector in the fabrication of structural steel
BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING:
- Knowledge about fabrication business & related activities.
HUMAN RELATIONS:
Internal: Engineering, procurement, Project management, quality.
External: Subcontractors/Suppliers, Customers QA/QC/EHS, Third Bodies (All relevant 3rd party Auditing Companies)
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that the Company Quality Assurance (QA) manual & ISO****:**** requirements are followed and implemented throughout the company.
- Performs activities necessary to drive quality improvement, assure regulatory & customer requirement compliance, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
- Develops, implements, and manages KPI's to measure quality and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Manages the Quality Engineers & Inspectors, providing tools/instructions/guidance to them to maintain quality at the shop level, as well as ensuring they are trained and developed.
- Conducts internal audits to ensure adherence to the QA program as per ISO**** and regulatory requirements.
- Together with management,



identifies and pursues opportunities for additional certifications as well as will be responsible for maintaining existing certifications related quality management such ISO****:**** QMS certification.
- Leads quality initiatives to ensure that the Company achieves its goals.
- Assists procurement department in selecting and evaluating suppliers.
Raise & approve supplier NCR as required.
- Supervise the preparation of quality documentation; verify that all QC records are completed for Code and customer requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining weld procedure documentation, and ensuring welding is in compliance.
- Respond to defects and customer complaints by recommending and ensuring the execution of the corrective action are put in place external and internal through root cause analysis.
- Manage and assure that continuous improvement strategy is implemented.
Supports project management/engineering team in addressing warranty issues with clients.
- Prepare quality plan based on customer specification, applicable codes & standards.
- Comply with all processes and procedures (HR, Quality, HSE, Finance, IT, Procurement, Operations) which include compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the local labor law.
- Ensure all the manufacturing process are following applicable customer specification, codes & standards by preparing, implementing & reviewing procedures.
- Act as technical advisor to internal team in the areas of welding, NDT & painting activities.
