Job Summary
The Controller will be based in _Guadalajara, North, _reporting to Finance Director - GSS.
Responsible for the total finance and accounting function of a site(s), this site leader is an integral member of the management team, acting as a critical business partner to the General Manager and GSS activities.
They will lead and manage the finance team to ensure accounting and financial processes and procedures are in accordance with corporate and legislative requirements.
What a typical day looks like:
- _ Maximize financial returns by establishing and overseeing the financial aspects of the assigned site/business segment performance._
- _ Proactively drive actions to improve profitability, cashflow and long-term performance._
- _ Identify & build business cases for investments, evaluate & mitigate risks, understand foreign exchange and currencies impacts, support quotes & draw on strong business acumen to achieve high site performance._
- _ Identify and develop opportunities for process improvements such as finance digitization efforts._
- _ Ensure compliance and adherence to corporate policies, local country, and US GAAP, as well as tax, customs, and trade compliance._




- _ Oversee the activities of the Accounting and Finance Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements,_ _12 month rolling forecasts, _customer financial performance to quote_ and annual audits._
- _ Establish and maintain systems and controls which safeguard company assets by verifying the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the Company's value, including complying with the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act._
- _ Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations._
- _ Drive HR Strategies, Talent Development, coaching, mentoring and culture actions to recruit and retain a qualified, motivated & high performing workforce._
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- _ BA/BS/MBA _or equivalent work experience_, Bachelor's degree in Finance, _Accounting, or related field._
- _ A background in manufacturing/cost accounting is preferred._
- _ Significant experience as a controller._
- _ Advanced English level_
- _ Strong and clear communication with the team_
- _ Resource management._
- _ Financial statement analysis_
- _ Expense control Implementation of improvement processes_
