How You'll Help Us Connect the World
Support product stewardship, issue resolution, cost optimization, and lifecycle support, while working on new designs and extensions.
You work autonomously or with minimal supervision, possessing problem‐solving skills and the ability to identify cost‐effective solutions, influencing product and process decisions while working closely with cross‐functional teams.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in product development.
Proficiency in leading CAD software such as CREO, SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of 2D drafting, GD&T;, tolerance stack‐up analysis, and sustaining engineering principles.
Familiarity with PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) systems.
Fluency in English (written and spoken, >80%).
Duties & Responsibilities
Create documentation of product requirements based on industry standards.
Support designs of new components and assemblies.
Document support for release of new and modified products.




Support optical and mechanical testing of fiber‐optic products.
Work with Manufacturing on process development and introduction of new products into production.
Perform data analysis and evaluation.
Lead and maintain project scopes, track Product Development projects, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
Conduct DFMEA to assess product criticality and ensure design robustness.
Perform engineering changes in conformance with company, customer, agency, and industry specifications and standards.
Collaboration and Communication
Accountable to Engineering Management in support of the business unit growth objectives.
Collaborate with current staff, including other engineers and technicians.
Collaborate with global design centers and manufacturing sites to resolve design and manufacturing issues, ensuring effective communication and problem‐solving.
Develop awareness of corporate, business unit, and quality management system documentation.
Develop awareness of relevant industry standards for fiber‐optic products.
Develop awareness of the range of lab test equipment.
Develop knowledge of fiber‐optic products and technical principles.
Skills Required
Solid knowledge and skilled use of 3D CAD software.
Knowledge of product development process.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‐functional teams.
Understanding of design for manufacturing of sheet‐metal and plastic components.
Skilled at planning and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

CREO/CAD experience.
