The hardware test engineer creates project‑specific end‑of‑line production test protocol for ECUs and provides further development and improvement of production methods for testing. He/she will closely work with general engineering teams and manufacturing plants to make improvement suggestions, reduce fallout rate, and optimize product quality.
Responsibilities
- Elaborate, execute, and audit project‑specific production test specifications for customer projects.
- Elaborate test list for validation.
- Maintain and update all created project‑specific production test specifications.
- Create technical customer documentation related to testing.
- Introduce change requests caused by test engineering reasons.
- Identify production methods of testing necessary to fulfill customer‑specific test or internal requirements.
- Support documentation and tracking of project‑internal reported problems in the problem management tool.
- Support production test engineer in case of production test specification questions and/or end‑of‑line tester specific problems.
- Inform the project team about technical problems or updates in the plant related to testing, and validate changes.
- Develop and improve test protocols & verification processes based on KPIs FPY & OTD.
- Act as the link between product engineering and manufacturing plants to ensure correct testing of Bosch Automotive Electronics products and serve as the interface for problem communication between internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify, analyze, and work to resolve or detect failures on the product and production process.
- Provide quality claim support and root‑cause analysis for different customers.
