Role Description

This full-time, on-site Trade Compliance Specialist role is based in Chihuahua, CHH. The specialist will oversee import and export activities to ensure adherence to applicable trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies. Daily responsibilities include reviewing documentation for accuracy, classifying products, monitoring regulatory changes, and coordinating with logistics, purchasing, and finance teams to resolve compliance issues. The role also involves maintaining records, supporting internal audits, and preparing reports for management. The specialist will collaborate with external partners, such as customs brokers and regulatory authorities, to facilitate timely and compliant cross-border movements.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export compliance requirements.
- Experience with documentation control, product classification, and record-keeping in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment.




- Proficiency in using ERP or trade management systems and standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, databases).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact with external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Law, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluency in Spanish and professional working proficiency in English.
- Familiarity with Mexican trade regulations and experience working with customs brokers or government agencies is an advantage.
- Prior experience in trade compliance within the electronics or semiconductor industry is preferred.
