Job Summary
As a Logistics Analyst at Jabil, Inc., you will play a critical role in optimizing our general supply chain and logistics operations. You will analyze data, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions to improve cost-effectiveness, delivery performance, and overall operational excellence within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret complex logistics data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize freight costs, transit times, and delivery reliability across various modes of transportation (air, ocean, road).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cost per unit, and inventory turns, and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, production, sales) and external partners (e.g., carriers, 3PLs) to ensure seamless logistics execution.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, including supplier disruptions, capacity constraints, and regulatory changes.
- Utilize logistics software and systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate reports.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing logistics processes and technologies.
- Support the negotiation of contracts with logistics service providers and evaluate their performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Prepare and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics analysis, supply chain operations, or a similar analytical role, preferably within a manufacturing or global environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate them into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas) is essential.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and/or Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and external partners.
- Problem-solving orientation with a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certifications are a plus.
