Remote Bookkeeper (Mexico-Based, Independent Contractor)

US Client — QuickBooks Online

ThinkNow | Remote (Mexico) | Independent Contractor, Full-Time Engagement

Compensation:

$1,800–2,000 USD/month, depending on experience.

ThinkNow is a multicultural market research firm based in Burbank, California. We're hiring a Mexico-based independent contractor to manage our day-to-day books in QuickBooks Online, working closely with our leadership team on transaction processing, vendor management, and month-end close.

This is a long-term, dedicated engagement — not project-based or shared across multiple clients. You'll work directly with our team as our primary bookkeeper, not through an agency.

What You'll Do:

- Weekly transaction review, coding, and reconciliation in QuickBooks Online
- Process and match income and expenses across bank feeds
- Enter and manage vendor bills, including international invoices in multiple currencies
- Set up new vendors and maintain accurate vendor records
- Record multi-currency transactions accurately by class/project
- Support monthly accounting close: A/R and A/P review, journal entries, financial statement prep
- Assist with year-end reconciliation, 1099 prep,



and coordination with our CPA at tax time
- Maintain clean, well-documented books with minimal cleanup required after the fact

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of bookkeeping/full-charge bookkeeping experience supporting US-based businesses
- Advanced, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
- Strong command of US accounting conventions and terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Proven experience handling multi-currency transactions and international vendor payments
- Professional English proficiency, written and verbal
- Based in Mexico, able to work hours with significant overlap with US Pacific time
- Highly detail-oriented and self-directed — able to run the books with minimal oversight
- Experience working directly with a US company (not just through an outsourcing firm) preferred
