About the Procurement COE Sustainability Analyst Role
As a Sustainability Analyst, you will play a key role in evaluating, implementing, and monitoring sustainability initiatives, with a focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, as well as the responsible sourcing of conflict minerals. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to these areas, identifying areas for improvement, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive positive change. This role requires a strong understanding of sustainability principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively. This role reports to the Global COE Manager and is in our Monterrey Headquarters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field
- Proven experience in procurement, sustainability analysis, reporting, or related roles, with a focus on conflict minerals and social responsibility.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (like Power BI).
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with relevant environmental and social regulations and standards, including conflict minerals reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to environmental impact, social responsibility, corporate governance, and responsible sourcing of conflict minerals.
- Conduct life cycle assessments, carbon footprint analyses, and conflict minerals traceability assessments.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present comprehensive sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders: SA 8000, Corporate Social Responsibility Surveys, Conflict Minerals, Scope 3 Emissions Report, Supplier Due Diligence Reports
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and reporting frameworks, including those related to conflict minerals (e.g., Dodd-Frank Section 1502).
- Performance Metrics:
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and monitor sustainability performance, including metrics related to conflict-free minerals and social responsibility.
- Track progress against established sustainability goals and targets, with a focus on ethical sourcing practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate sustainability practices, ethical sourcing, and social responsibility into business operations.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and NGOs, to address concerns related to conflict minerals and social responsibility.
- Policy and Strategy Development:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainability policies and strategies, with a specific focus on conflict minerals and social responsibility.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in these areas.
