Job Description:
Responsible for planning, scheduling, and directing the work of the accounts payable unit within the established accounting policies of the organization. Monitors records of amounts owed and assures prompt payment of invoices. Focuses on team completion of assignments and routines, and is responsible for ensuring the orientation and training of employees. Recommends changes in methods and procedures to improve efficiency of the accounts payable unit. Receives assignments in the form objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Directs subordinates on predetermined work assignments which are completed using established guidelines, procedures and policies. Supervises Support track employees and may occasionally perform similar work as their subordinates.
