**How to Apply**
**Summary of Duties**
We are looking for team players with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage a variety of tasks in a timely manner to support the objectives of our Property program. Under the general supervision of the Property Finance Coordinator, you’ll be accountable for:
- Reviewing and processing invoices, contracts, and other relevant documents.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all financial transactions are well-documented and valid.
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders / program managers to develop and establish annual budgets with a focus on client service excellence.
- Collaborating with other colleagues to foster clear communication and facilitate understanding of budgetary and financial rules / constraints.
- Assisting in regularly tracking, monitoring and reporting on budget performance and in producing financial reports and analysis to assess variances, identify trends, and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Performing other administrative and logístical support to various projects and events (as required).
**Area of selection/Eligibility**
- This position is open to any person currently residing and legally able to work in Mexico (or who can get a work permit by their own means before an appointment).
**Essential qualifications**
*Language will be assessed further during the process.
**Education**
- *Valid documents include: “titulo”, “cedula”, or an academic record/official letter confirming that 100% of university courses have been completed. _




**Language**:
- Intermediate (similar to B2 or higher in the Common European Framework of Reference - CEFR) written and spoken proficiency in **English and Spanish**.
**Experience**:
- At least one (1) year of recent* experience in a private or public organization providing accounting / financial services (e.g. accounts payable / receivable, bank / account reconciliations, budget / financial reports, etc.)
- *Recent is defined from January 2020 onwards_.
**Operational Requirements**
- Willingness to work overtime on demand and as required at peak times of the year (March/April) or on ad hoc basis throughout the year.
- Willingness and ability to work in a combination of Mexican and Canadian statutory holidays, which means you will be required to work on certain Mexican holidays.
- The Embassy of Canada is an office-based work environment which does not offer remote or hybrid work arrangements.
**Conditions of Employment**
Conditions of employment must be met or complied with before being appointed to a particular position and are to be maintained throughout the employment while being the incumbent of this position.
- Valid work authorization: Ability to obtain and hold a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period.
- Security screening: Obtain and maintain a Reliability Status (security level) which includes a criminal and credit background check from the Government of Canada covering the entire employment period.
Pay: $333,409.00 per year
Work Location: In person
