Job Summary
MUST BE BASED IN GUADALAJARA

As a Sustainability Program Manager for Supplier Sustainability & Decarbonization, you will drive supplier engagement and sustainability performance improvement across NetApp’s general supply base. You will play a key role in advancing supplier maturity in environmental performance, circularity, and Scope 3 emissions reduction. This role also owns the foundation of sustainability data across the supply chain, including Full Material Disclosure (FMD), BOM-level material mapping, and lifecycle/carbon data readiness. You will work across Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sustainability teams to ensure supplier data is accurate, consistent, and actionable, enabling scalable reporting, compliance, and decarbonization initiatives.

Job Requirements

Lead supplier sustainability programs to improve performance, transparency, and alignment with NetApp expectations

Collaborate on developing NetApp’s next generation sustainability supplier engagement program to include Tier 1, 2 and 3 direct and indirect suppliers

Drive supplier maturity frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives

Partner with Sustainability to embed criteria into supplier selection, contracts, and scorecards

Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Commodity Managers and Product Compliance teams, as well as external suppliers, to accelerate sustainability initiatives and improve performance.

Engage suppliers to support NetApp's Scope 3 reduction and climate target alignment

Track and analyze supplier environmental data (greenhouse gas (GHG), water, waste, plastics, biodiversity)





Collaborate to build supplier environmental training programs

Support supplier environmental target-setting and monitor progress

Identify opportunities to reduce lifecycle emissions through supplier and design collaboration

Drive collection, consolidation, and maintenance of Full Material Disclosure (FMD) data

Perform BOM-level data mapping and standardize data across sources

Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency

Support LCA and PCF data preparation and validation for downstream analysis

Engage suppliers to collect and improve material and sustainability data

Improve data quality and responsiveness through proactive engagement

Ensure adherence to governance standards, templates, and SOPs

Maintain documentation for traceability and audit readiness

Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements to scale and reduce manual effort

Collaborate across Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Sustainability

Support sustainability reporting (including regulatory and strategic reports), dashboards, and customer requests

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field+ 3 to 5 years of experience in sustainability, corporate responsibility, supply chain, or supplier engagement

Experience working on Scope 3, environmental metrics,



or sustainability programs

Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

Experience working with data, reporting, and sustainability frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, Sustainability reporting)

Strong data management skills (Excel, data tools, dashboards)

Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders

Excellent communication skills, able to translate sustainability goals into clear, actionable plans

Proactive and improvement-driven mindset, with a passion for driving continuous supplier performance improvements

Strategic yet practical thinker, able to connect enterprise goals with supplier-level execution

Influential without authority, capable of aligning stakeholders across functions

Curious and eager to learn, with strong interest in sustainability, decarbonization, and circularity

Resilient and patient, able to sustain progress in long-term initiatives

Comfortable working in evolving and ambiguous environments

Strong ownership and accountability in driving initiatives independently

Build trust and positive working relationships across teams and suppliers
