**THIS IS NISSAN**
We are currently looking for a **Buyer 1** to join our team in **Aguascalientes, México**. This role plays a key part in ensuring uninterrupted supply of raw materials for Nissan's manufacturing operations in Mexico, supporting multiple areas, clients, and regions while driving cost, quality, and delivery excellence.
**A Day in the Life**
- Track, analyze, and follow up on supplier and production plant requests.
- Guarantee raw material supply for Mexican plants while identifying opportunities to improve cost, supply stability, and risk mitigation.
- Negotiate and establish commodity prices; manage assigned commodities and supplier relationships.
- Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to resolve supply issues and ensure continuous production.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives and provide assistance to NNA counterparts with systems, payments, and supplier claims.
**Who We're Looking For**
**Required**
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (or equivalent technical coursework/training).
- Fully bilingual: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, accountability, teamwork, and communication.
- Ability to perform work onsite in Aguascalientes.
- Availability for occasional day or overnight travel.
**Desired**
- At least 1 year of experience in purchasing or 1 year in powertrain casting processes.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes involved in casting.
- Creativity for generating new ideas and improving processes.




- Understanding of manufacturing processes and awareness of environmental impact in design and sourcing decisions.
