The role includes authority to **coordinate directly with suppliers regarding material specifications, delivery schedules, and supply commitments** related to production materials, new projects, tooling, or manufacturing equipment.
Position Responsibilities
The Sourcing Manager represents the **regional procurement function** and is responsible for:
- Leading, motivating, and developing the **local purchasing team**:
- Collaborating closely with **plant leadership and global sourcing teams**:
- Acting as the **primary contact for purchasing matters within the local organization**:
- Implementing regional **sourcing strategies, commodity strategies, and procurement processes**:
- Supporting **contract and price negotiations** in coordination with global commodity management
- Driving **cost reduction initiatives and savings projects**:
- Ensuring **accuracy and integrity of procurement-related reporting**:
- Guaranteeing **supply continuity** for production materials, indirect materials, and services
- Managing **supplier escalation and supply chain bottlenecks**:
- Supporting **new project launches and engineering changes**:
- Continuously evaluating the **local supplier base**, identifying localization opportunities and market risks
- Ensuring compliance with **procurement policies and continuous improvement of purchasing processes**
Admission ProfileEducation
Bachelor’s degree in:
- Industrial Engineering
- Business Administration
- Supply Chain Management
- Manufacturing or related fields
Knowledge
- Automotive standards (IATF 16949)
- ISO 14001
- Corporate Social Responsibility standards
- Business English
- Negotiation and strategic sourcing
- APQP and launch management
- Advanced cost analysis and benchmarking
- Decision-making and leadership
Experience
Minimum experience:
4 years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles within the automotive industry.
Preferred experience:
5+ years in **managerial or leadership roles in purchasing or sourcing**.
