**GENERAL SUMMARY**:
As Mechanical Engineering Coordinator you are responsible for leading a team that needs to determine the best line configuration of process and tooling for our employees to assure the assembly plant is always at world class levels of safety, quality assurance and thriving to maximize the efficiency of our production lines and the resources around them.
At BRP we are a family and as a coordinator you are responsible for assuring your team has & drives by the same values we do at our company. Serving attitude is a must and you and your team need to provide an expedite & qualitative service to solve all our assembly team needs daily.
As a coordinator you will need to welcome and manage uncertainty and be able to keep the team aligned in delivering on time on all the objectives with a strong base on Continuous improvement & project management tools.
In this position you are also accountable for generating a strong and positive work environment for your team and the teams with whom you collaborate and create personalized development plans to become better all together and assure the growth of our plant currently and in the future.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Owner of the BSC of the department and responsible for doing the proper followup with all the team members in the established governances also responsible for generating the 3PP and adjust if needed when KPIs are not met.
Works on generating a strong relationship with peers and different stakeholders in and outside of the plant to increase the synergy and facilitate the elimination of possible roadblocks generated to misalignment.
Assure the standard work of the Industrial engineer is focused on generating a disciplined approach that guarantees all the documentation/fixtures/tools are available, updated,
in good conditions and useful for the operators in the plant.
Keeps the process & procedure management of the department and assures all the team members are aware and do their standard work based on the documentation available.
Assure that all the new processes/machines/tools/workstations meet the defined standards of H&S;, QA and productivity by promoting and assuring the execution of the risk assessment analysis(Enablon/PFMEA) is always done and that all the CAPA/PSP are closed on time by following the root cause analysis methodology.
Promote & lead the problem solving process across all the assembly plant based on the methodology (PSP, DMAIC)
Promotes & lead the participation to sustain and keep alive our different management systems such as (but not limited) ISO , ISO 9000
Create a succession plan that assures the development of the top talent of the team and that shortens the gap to have a sustainable growth of the organization.
Assure the participation of the determined team members in the NPD governances and the weekly/monthly deliverables are met with the highest degree of quality.
Actively participate in the development of the department strategy and assure the required governances are scheduled and strictly followed to guarantee the success of all the initiatives.
Lead and Coordinate the Capital and Operational Expenses to meet the forecasted budget.
Enforce all BRP policies and administer disciplinary action when required.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:
Engineering degree (Industrial or Mechanical)
Fluent Bilingual (English & Spanish), both oral and written
Great generating alignment
Open to receive and provide feedback
Positive, inspiring leader
High dominion on root cause analysis methodology
Experience in team management of 2+ years
6+ or more years experience in the manufacturing environment
