POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the safe operation of the mixer, extruder and other related equipment to produce plastic compound pellets.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

- Responsible for proper extruder operation to maintain a quality product.
- Set up, tear down, adjust and operate all aspects of an extruder and related equipment, including quality checks, to produce a variety of plastic compounds.
- Maintain a safe, orderly and clean work area.
- Complete all necessary paperwork such as production reports, quality reports, pallet tags, etc.
- Direct and assist Material Handler with their job duties.
- Perform Material Handler duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment along with good verbal, written and interpersonal relations skills required.
- Basic math skills, good mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills and forklift driving experience are necessary.
- Previous extrusion experience preferred.
- Job requires occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds.
