Position: Event Accountant
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Travel Availability: Yes, especially during key events
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (completed)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally within events, hospitality, or entertainment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with NetSuite
- Strong background in high-volume AR/AP reconciliations
- Experience in financial closing, invoicing, and process development
- Proven experience in financial project management
- Excellent communication skills with vendors
- High flexibility and adaptability to fast-paced environments
- Willingness to travel and support on-site during events
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial aspects of assigned events, including revenue tracking, expense control, and budget compliance
- Collaborate with event teams to create and monitor budgets throughout the event lifecycle
- Process and track invoices, ensuring accurate documentation and timely payments
- Prepare detailed financial reports and insights for internal stakeholders
- Reconcile accounts post-event, ensuring accuracy and timely closure
- Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation
- Work closely with event managers, finance teams, and external partners to ensure financial alignment and clear communication
