EHS Engineer – STIVA 2

Responsibilities

- Support implementation and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations, customer requirements, and company standards.
- Drive a proactive safety culture, environmental stewardship, risk reduction initiatives, and regulatory compliance throughout the facility.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine EHS inspections and audits throughout the facility.
- Assist in maintaining permits, licenses, and required regulatory documentation.
- Support preparation for internal and external EHS audits.
- Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, and corrective action development.
- Assist in incident, near‑miss, and injury investigations and recommend preventive actions.
- Monitor completion of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Support implementation of machine guarding, LOTO, PPE, contractor safety, and permit‑to‑work programs.
- Monitor waste management activities, including hazardous and non‑hazardous waste handling.
- Support environmental reporting and sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with air emissions, wastewater, and environmental compliance monitoring as applicable.
- Promote waste reduction and environmental improvement projects.
- Conduct EHS orientations for new employees and contractors.
- Assist with safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and awareness activities.




- Support emergency response drills and safety committee activities.
- Promote employee engagement in EHS programs.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety within manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or industrial operations.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems.
- Experience supporting audits and incident investigations.
- Technical knowledge of occupational safety regulations and standards, environmental compliance requirements, risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation techniques, emergency preparedness and response, and waste management practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong communication skills, problem‑solving and analytical thinking, attention to detail, organizational and follow‑up skills, and teamwork and collaboration.
