Key Responsibilities
- Validate the safe operation and functional performance of power unit assemblies, ensuring correct behavior under defined NVH, electrical, and leakage specifications and production constraints.
- Verify power unit functionality at endâofâline (EOL) through systemâlevel checks, confirming correct signal response, overall system readiness, and NVH data acquisition through measuring and analysis of vibration data in frequency, order, and time domain.
- Work with and understand typical final assembly EOL test sequences, including system initiation and readiness checks, measuring and analyzing vehicle NVH data, motor efficiency, resolver offset calibration.
- Install, validate, and bring up test equipment in production, including setup, calibration, correlation,
and ensuring stable and repeatable operation during rampâup.
- Define and maintain test parameters, limits, and pass/fail criteria, aligned with product safety, functionality, and manufacturing requirements.
- Work with product engineering to establish NVH Engineering Specifications (ES) for tests and to determine final (EOL) vibration test methodology for new programs.
- Troubleshoot test failures in production, identifying whether the source is related to the unit, the test system, or process/environmental variation, and drive corrective actions.
- Implement test sequence (software) updates to support validation, failure analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement of test processes.
- Review PTO quality indicators and evaluate test enhancements to address issues, reduce warranty, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Implement test station modifications and software updates as required for new models and corrective actions.
- Interface with suppliers and product engineering on related process questions and machine/product development.
- Develop production processes aligned to standard Bill of Process strategies through system inquiry, simultaneous engineering, build, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Ensure production systems meet all objectives through R&M;,
Process Design, and FMEA.
