Job Description
Product Design Engineer responsible for the mechanical design and release of steering products.
Development customer / program specific steering products following design guidelines of Bosch AS where applicable and creating new designs as needed to meet customer requirements. Support design reviews and releases as needed.
Responsibilities
- Product Design Engineer responsible for the mechanical design and release of steering products.
- Develop customer / program specific steering products following design guidelines of Bosch AS where applicable and creating new designs as needed to meet customer requirements.
- Support design reviews and releases as needed.
- Develop technical designs with CAD (2D & 3D).
- Estimate tolerances, capable to create, interpret, apply and check GD&T.;
- Support Continuous improvements and cost reduction activities.
- Create BOM (Bill of materials).
- Administrate engineering changes using tools such as DRBFM and DFMEA.
- Packaging design.
- Create and support technical standards/ specifications.
- Coordination with OEMs and AS Cross-functional Teams.
- Obtain OEM approval of Bosch AS manufacturing deviations as needed.
- Comply with TS16949 and other AS policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: BS Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Working Experience: Preferable 1-2 years in similar roles
- Soft Skills: Creative, proactive, analytic, leadership and good negotiation skills, teamwork and good communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, literal thinker
