Descripción
As a Maintenance Planning Manager, you will play a key role in structuring and leading the maintenance planning function within port operations, ensuring equipment availability and operational continuity across terminal assets. In this role, you will:
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance planning for port cranes, heavy lifting machinery, and terminal infrastructure.
- Develop structured maintenance schedules to minimize vessel turnaround time and operational downtime.
- Coordinate spare parts requisitions and collaborate closely with procurement, warehouse, and maintenance execution teams.
- Manage ERP-based maintenance systems such as IFS, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms to plan and monitor maintenance activities.
- Lead and develop a team of schedulers dedicated to planning port maintenance tasks across multiple operational fronts.
- Collaborate with technical, operations, and logistics teams to align maintenance activities with vessel schedules and port operations.
- Establish structured processes and planning frameworks that ensure compliance, traceability, and efficiency in port maintenance management.
- Drive initiatives that enhance reliability, safety,
and cost optimization within maintenance planning.
Perfil buscado
As a Maintenance Planning Manager in port operations, you will bring expertise in structuring and managing maintenance programs for port equipment and terminal infrastructure. In this role, the successful candidate will:
- Bring proven experience in maintenance planning within port, maritime, or heavy logistics environments.
- Demonstrate strong leadership managing maintenance schedulers and coordinating technical teams.
- Have hands‑on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of cranes, port vehicles, and infrastructure systems.
- Coordinate closely with procurement and inventory management for spare parts and service requisitions.
- Be proficient in ERP systems such as IFS, SAP, or Oracle for maintenance or asset management.
- Demonstrate strong structured thinking, analytical planning, and communication skills in English.
- Be able to work cross‑functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain stakeholders in the port environment.
- Have advanced English communication skills.
