Role Summary

As Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll lead testing efforts across our mobile and web applications, serving as the primary line of defense for product quality. You'll design and execute comprehensive test plans, write automated test suites, and establish QA processes and standards while working closely with engineering, product, and design teams to ensure seamless user experiences across every feature and release. This role combines hands-on manual testing with test automation development to build quality into our development lifecycle from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute test plans based on product specifications, user stories, and designs
- Conduct comprehensive manual testing across iOS, Android, and web platforms
- Perform regression, exploratory, smoke, and cross-device/browser testing
- Track, document, and prioritize bugs using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira)
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure thorough test coverage
- Assess and communicate release readiness based on test results and risk analysis
- Recommend and implement test case management tools and processes
- Maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and bug reports
- Develop and maintain automated test suites to improve test coverage and efficiency
- Promote quality best practices across the organization

Required Qualifications

- 5–7 years of manual QA experience across mobile and web applications




- 1–2 years developing automated test suites with hands-on coding experience in tools like Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks
- Proficiency writing and maintaining test automation code
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Deep understanding of QA methodologies, STLC, and bug lifecycle management
- Experience testing across platforms and devices, including real and emulated mobile environments
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman and basic SQL for data validation
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment processes
- Proven ability to identify, document, and communicate issues with clarity and precision
- Skilled at working within Agile teams and contributing to sprint planning and execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to advocate for quality across disciplines
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, distributed team environment

Preferred Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
- Advanced coursework or formal training in software testing, human-computer interaction, or development methodologies
- Experience contributing to QA process development in a startup or greenfield environment
- Understanding of accessibility standards, usability principles, or performance testing practices
- ISTQB certification or comparable industry-recognized training in quality assurance
