Galley Operations – Entry Level Roles Positions: Utility Cleaner | Dishwasher

Position Overview We are recruiting entry-level galley staff for cruise lines and maritime operations , responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards in kitchen and food production areas.
These roles are essential to ensure safe and efficient galley operations in a high-demand, fast-paced environment .

Key Responsibilities Utility Cleaner Clean and sanitize all galley areas, including floors, walls, and equipment
Maintain cleanliness of workstations and food preparation areas
Handle waste disposal following hygiene and environmental standards
Support kitchen team with basic cleaning and operational tasks
Ensure compliance with USPH sanitation standards at all times
Dishwasher Operate dishwashing machines and clean all kitchen equipment, utensils, and cookware
Ensure proper handling and storage of clean items
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing areas
Support kitchen operations during peak service periods
Follow all hygiene and sanitation procedures

Work Environment Cruise ships and maritime operations
High-volume kitchen operations
Structured, hygiene-focused environment

Working Conditions 10–11 hours per day
7 days per week
Physically demanding roles (lifting, standing, repetitive tasks)
Exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals

Required Documents CV in English (Harvard format)

Valid passport

Requirements:

Experience No prior cruise experience required
Minimum 3–6 months experience in:
Cleaning
Kitchen support
Stewarding / dishwashing
Restaurants, hotels, or industrial kitchens
Entry-level candidates with strong work attitude may be considered

Ship Experience ❌ Not required

Skills Basic understanding of cleaning and hygiene practices
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments
Physical stamina (lifting, standing for long hours, repetitive tasks)
Teamwork and ability to follow instructions
Attention to cleanliness and organization

Language English: Basic (A2–B1 preferred)

General Requirements CV in English (Harvard format), updated with no gaps
Minimum 2 verifiable reference letters
Valid passport
Availability to work:
10–11 hours per day
7 days per week
High level of discipline, hygiene, and reliability

Commitment Ability to complete onboarding documentation within 2–4 months maximum
Willingness to cover documentation costs (medical, visa, certifications if applicable)
