As a primary responsibility, the Account Manager in Mexico develops and expands the automotive fastener and precision metal components business within the Mexican market.

n

This position is responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and achieving sales targets by building strong customer relationships and identifying strategic growth opportunities.

n

The role ensures excellent customer satisfaction through proactive communication, timely response to inquiries, and collaboration with internal departments such as Quality, Customer Service, Engineering, and Operations.

n

The Account Manager balances commercial growth objectives with profitability, market positioning, and long-term strategic development in alignment with company goals.

n

Education

n

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.

n

Experience / Knowledge

n

- Minimum 5+ years of successful sales and marketing experience in the automotive industry.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in automotive fasteners or metal components sales preferred.
- Strong knowledge of RFQ management, pricing strategies, and supply contract negotiation.
- Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and automotive supply chain dynamics.
- Ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis.

Preferred n

- Experience selling to Tier 1 and OEM automotive customers in Mexico.




- Technical background in mechanical or industrial engineering is a plus.

Computer Skillsn
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) – Intermediate to Advanced.
- CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- ERP systems (preferred).

Main Functions / Responsibilities

n

- Develop new business and expand market coverage in Mexico to achieve sales targets.
- Prospect for new sales opportunities via cold and warm leads and cultivate sales pipeline.
- Identify strategic markets and customers and conduct market research for new product development.
- Maintain and grow existing key accounts.
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with customers at all hierarchy levels.
- Schedule and conduct customer site visits with the goal of obtaining purchase orders.
- Travel to customer manufacturing facilities to demonstrate products and provide application solutions.
- Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage RFQs, determine pricing, and define contractual conditions.
- Negotiate and conclude supply contracts and pricing agreements.
- Support Customer Service regarding delivery and inventory matters.
- Cooperate with the Quality department in resolving customer concerns.
- Ensure proper internal and external flow of information.
- Capture competitive data and update project details in Salesforce.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and activity reports to the Business Development Manager.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.
