About the RoleThe Demurrage, Disputes & Collections Specialist is a critical hybrid role bridging commercial operations, customer experience, and financial performance.

This position manages the full lifecycle of demurrage claims, commercial disputes, and related receivables while safeguarding contractual compliance and minimizing commercial exposure.Key Responsibilities• Execute accurate laytime calculations to ensure compliance with charter party and commercial contract terms.

- Issue, monitor, and follow up on receivable demurrage claims to secure timely recovery.
- Receive, register, analyze, and resolve customer commercial claims.
- Collaborate with Billing, Customer Service, Logistics, Sales, and Finance.
- Maintain accurate documentation and system-compliant recordkeeping.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
- Manage collections related to demurrage and disputes.
- Support development of the Demurrage & Dispute Module.
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.

- Bachelor's degree preferred; shipping experience valued.
- Experience in demurrage, disputes, claims, or chartering is an advantage.
- Fluent English; strong communication skills.
- Proactive, organized, and able to perform under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
