The Role

1. Incident and Request Management in the AMS Environment

- Analyze and resolve functional incidents in SAP BPC , related to:

- Financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes

- Financial consolidation

- Data loads, validations, business rules, and reporting

- Handle incidents and requests in SAP BW , ensuring:

- Proper execution of ETL data load processes

- Data availability and consistency in InfoProviders (DSOs, InfoCubes, ADSOs)

- Correct operation of queries and reports

- Verify data flows between source systems and SAP BW/BPC , identifying load errors, inconsistencies, or data deviations.

- Manage tickets under the AMS operating model , complying with defined priorities, impact levels, response times, and SLAs .

2. Functional Analysis and Process Validation

- Analyze and validate SAP BPC functional configurations , including:

- Models, dimensions, and hierarchies

- Business rules, validations, and planning logic

- Consolidation and reporting processes

- Validate SAP BW functional processes , including:

- Data flows, transformations, and rules

- Data quality, integrity, and traceability

- Review end‑to‑end processes , from data sources to final BPC/BW reports.

- Document findings, root causes , deviations, and implemented solutions, ensuring traceability and operational consistency .

3. Technical Coordination within the SAP Ecosystem

- Collaborate with ABAP/BW developers to resolve incidents and implement functional adjustments.

- Coordinate with integration teams , Basis/infrastructure , and other SAP modules when cross‑system or cross‑module dependencies exist.

- Follow up on technical‑functional activities until effective closure and business validation are achieved.

4. Documentation and Operational Compliance

- Maintain up‑to‑date functional documentation , including:





- SAP BPC and SAP BW configurations

- Operating procedures

- KEDs / KBAs

- AMS support evidence

- Prepare information and supporting materials for internal audits , change controls, and IT reviews.

5. Support for Testing, Changes, and Releases

- Participate in functional testing (SIT/UAT) for changes, fixes, or new functionalities in SAP BPC and SAP BW .

- Design and execute functional test cases , validating results against business rules.

- Validate functional deliverables and support deployments, releases, and post‑implementation stabilization (hypercare) .

6. Continuous Improvement within the AMS Service

- Identify improvement opportunities in:

- Planning, consolidation, and analytics processes

- Data flows and quality controls

- SAP BPC and SAP BW functional configurations

- Propose initiatives that enhance stability, efficiency, reliability, and data traceability .

- Contribute to the evolution of the AMS service from a functional and business‑oriented perspective .

Who You Are

Required Knowledge and Skills

Functional and Technical Knowledge

- SAP BPC :

- Financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting

- Financial consolidation

- Models, dimensions, hierarchies, and business rules

- SAP BW :

- Data load processes

- Transformations and validations

- Data modeling and reporting

- Knowledge of integrations between source systems and SAP BW/BPC .

- Ability to interpret logs, error messages, and data structures .

- Desirable:





- Basic SQL knowledge

- ITIL methodologies applied to AMS services

Tools and Technologies (Desirable)

- Familiarity with ABAP for functional analysis and support (not development).

- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .

- Use of support tools:

- ServiceNow, Jira

- Automation and operations tools:

- Control‑M

- Collaboration tools:

- Microsoft Office, Teams, OneDrive

Soft Skills

- Problem solving : ability to diagnose and resolve incidents under pressure.

- Clear communication with business users and technical teams.

- Strong customer and service orientation .

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or Engineering in Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology , or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience in SAP BPC and SAP BW.

- Previous experience providing SAP functional support within an AMS model .

- Proven experience in SAP BPC and SAP BW .

- Knowledge of financial, planning, and analytics processes .

- Basic English required ; intermediate level desirable for documentation and communication.
