Role Purpose
The Technical Support Engineer (Automotive) provides specialized second-level technical support to the automotive dealer network, enabling accurate diagnostic execution, structured fault analysis, and adherence to standardized troubleshooting processes. The Technical Support Engineer acts as a technical authority, guiding workshop technicians and advisors to ensure safe, efficient, and brand‑aligned repair outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide second‑level technical support to dealerships and technical advisors for accurate identification and resolution of vehicle faults.
- Analyze complex technical cases using structured diagnostic methodologies and detailed technical documentation.
- Guide technical advisors in correctly applying standardized diagnostic and repair processes.
- Interpret technical information, fault reports, DTC codes, electrical diagrams, and service manuals.
- Escalate cases when required, ensuring process compliance, clarity, and full traceability.
- Document solutions, lessons learned, and best practices to strengthen technical knowledge across the network.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to improve efficiency in resolving recurring incidents.

Candidate Profile
Experience & Capability
- Proven experience in automotive technical support, advanced diagnostics, or service engineering.
- Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electromechanics or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems (mechanical, electrical, electronic, and diagnostic).
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and break them into logical, actionable steps.
- Experience supporting workshop technicians or dealership networks remotely or onsite.
Technical Strength
- Advanced capability in diagnostic interpretation (DTC codes, wiring diagrams, OEM service literature).
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostic platforms and case management or ticketing systems.
- Experience with premium or high‑technical‑standard automotive brands is desirable.
