Customer Engineering Project Manager - Automotive We are seeking a Customer Engineering Project Manager to join our engineering team and support the development of advanced bearing solutions for automotive applications. In this role, you will act as the key technical interface between North American Tier-1 suppliers and OEM customers and our global teams, ensuring the successful development, validation, launch, and production of our products. This position offers high visibility and direct interaction with major OEM and Tier-1 customers in North America, with strong involvement in general engineering projects and collaboration with international teams.
Lead and manage customer engineering projects with Tier-1 suppliers and OEMs from concept to production. Monitor progress against key program milestones including: design reviews, prototype builds, validation testing, PPAP submission, and production readiness. Ensure program deliverables meet customer specifications, quality standards, and requirements, escalating to leadership as required. Coordinate internal and customer change management processes. Maintain clear communication across engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality functions.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering project development, preferably in the automotive industry. Experience managing customer-facing technical projects with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers. Knowledge of APQP processes, automotive project management methodologies, and quality standards (IATF 16949) is highly desirable. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools. Fluent English and Spanish Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills. Annual performance-based bonus.
