Objective

n

Ensure the achievement of production targets in the assigned area by guaranteeing compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and operational standards.

n

This role exists to maintain stable operations, protect people and equipment, and drive continuous improvement through effective management of processes, resources, and frontline teams.

n

The Role

n

As a Production Engineer, you will oversee daily plant operations while ensuring adherence to manufacturing procedures, industry standards (IATF *****, ISO *****, ISO *****), and Clarios values.

n

You will also manage incident response, support audits, coach high-performance teams, implement Lean/TPM practices, and ensure continuity of operations across shifts.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Lead start-of-shift meetings and ensure alignment on safety, production priorities, and operational goals.

n

Ensure correct use of PPE and compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LoTo) and all safety procedures.

n

Approve special work permits (hot work, heights, confined spaces, energy isolation).

n

Stop and correct unsafe acts or substandard conditions affecting safety, quality, or equipment integrity.

n

Ensure proper identification, management, and escalation of non-conforming products.

n

Approve and audit first-piece inspections and operational conditions.

n

Conduct Safetrack observations and close deviations with timely feedback.

n

Collect information and support incident investigations following escalation protocols.

n

Ensure execution of production plans and escalate deviations impacting schedule or continuity.

n

Guarantee continuous operation between shifts—zero minutes lost at shift handover.

n

Oversee basic equipment care,



ensure work orders are raised and closed properly.

n

Support TPM, 5S, standard work, Quick Changeover, and other Lean initiatives.

n

Conduct LPA audits and ensure corrective actions are executed.

n

Ensure compliance with IATF ***** and ISO ***** procedures applicable to the area.

n

Lead High-Performance Teams (HPTs), ensuring problem-solving, scorecard management, and maturity progression.

n

Manage staffing matters: vacations, attendance, exceptions, and payroll inputs.

n

Promote an inclusive, healthy, and collaborative work environment aligned to Clarios values.

n

Support training, certification, and development plans for all team members.

n

Drive continuous improvement projects and follow methodologies such as Gemba, Green Belt, and rapid problem-solving.

n
