VALUE STREAM LEADER II
n
IMPACT & OPPORTUNITY The Production Supervisor is responsible for the end-to-end management of a product value stream, ensuring the efficient flow of materials, information, and processes from raw material to final delivery.
n
The role acts as the key liaison between cross-functional teams, ensuring the achievement of productivity, quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and team development.
n
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
n
Coordinate the activities of group leaders to ensure adherence to production schedules and achievement of value stream KPIs.
n
Collaborate with support departments to meet operational targets and resolve issues.
n
Maintain visual management boards and dashboards reflecting value stream performance vs. targets.
n
Own value stream performance and drive accountability for results.
n
Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean principles.
n
Ensure compliance with the Internal Work Regulations and company standards.
n
Guarantee that all manufacturing activities are conducted by properly trained personnel.
n
Ensure that approved procedures and standardized work instructions are followed.
n
Contribute to the achievement of overall plant goals and strategic objectives.
n
Maintain effective communication with shift counterparts for operational continuity.
n
Approve personnel actions such as evaluations, permits, and disciplinary measures.
n
Submit staffing requisitions to maintain appropriate headcount levels.
n
Foster a professional and safe work environment.
n
Halt production when safety, quality, or compliance issues are identified.
n
Block and tag unsafe equipment/tools and report to Maintenance for repair or replacement.
n
Support the execution of the Manufacturing Engineering portion of the Production Control Plan (PCP).
n
Comply with Quality Management System standards (IATF *****) and EHS certifications (ISO *****, ISO *****).
n
Ensure understanding and compliance with customer-specific requirements, especially those tied to the Zero Defects initiative.
n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
n
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
n
5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within the automotive industry.
n
Proven experience in team leadership, shift supervision, or production management.
n
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and quality systems.
n
Advanced communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
n
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred, especially for Tier 2 operations in Mexico or LATAM.
n
