**Position: Safety Coordinator / EHS Leader**

**Primary Purpose**

The **Safety Coordinator** is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment by developing, implementing, and enforcing effective safety policies, programs, and procedures. This role proactively identifies and mitigates risks, ensures compliance with applicable regulations, and fosters a culture of safety through continuous training and employee engagement. By integrating safety into daily operations, the position reduces workplace hazards, prevents incidents, and supports overall operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**- Promote and execute the company’s **EHS Policy**, ensuring understanding and compliance among all employees under their supervision.- Design and implement workplace safety programs and policies aligned with corporate and regulatory standards.- Conduct **risk assessments**, safety audits, and inspections to detect and mitigate potential hazards.- Investigate accidents, near-misses,



and safety incidents; implement corrective and preventive actions.- Lead **safety training** and awareness programs for employees and contractors.- Ensure compliance with **local and international safety regulations and standards**.- Oversee the proper use of **Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)** and enforce adherence.- Coordinate **emergency preparedness** plans, including fire drills and evacuation procedures.- Monitor and analyze **safety performance indicators** to drive continuous improvement.- Collaborate with leadership and staff to promote a **safety-first culture**.- Integrate safety considerations into equipment and process design.- Lead and manage **safety committees** and encourage active worker participation.- Develop, train, and lead team members under their supervision.

**Qualifications**Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field).**Experience**: 4-6 years of experience in safety coordination or related roles.**Language**: Intermediate English (minimum).
