The Senior Business Development Manager is accountable for directing the development and delivery of key business plans for a key market or markets across the LACM region. This role leads a high-performing team of Business Development Managers and Account Managers, ensuring not only the achievement of volume, distribution, revenue, gross margin, and profit targets, but also the professional growth, engagement, and capability of the team. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who prioritizes coaching, mentoring, and talent development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance. - Establish a structured coaching cadence, including regular 1:1s, field visits, and performance reviews that emphasize development-oriented feedback.
- Create individual development plans aligned with both business objectives and personal career goals.
- Champion a culture of collaboration, psychological safety, and accountability, ensuring team members feel supported and empowered to deliver results.
- Partner with HR and Talent Development to identify training needs, facilitate workshops, and leverage learning resources to build commercial capability.

Strategy & Execution - Develop, execute, and deliver 3YP (Three-Year Plan) and AOP (Annual Operating Plan) for designated markets in consultation with the Regional Team.

- Identify, record, and monitor current and potential customers in designated markets, channels, and accounts within the LACM region.




- Monitor and evaluate market and sales data as well as competitive activities to identify present and future opportunities.
- Manage distributor relationships at senior levels, including owners, general managers, and other key executives.
- Apply consultative selling techniques to maximize product distribution and sales, with a forward-looking perspective to develop strategies for sustainable growth.
- Evaluate and recommend alternative routes to market in the designated region.
- Oversee delivery of S&OP; (Sales & Operations Planning) for designated channels and markets. Financial & Operational Accountability - Make decisions that significantly impact customers and company profitability.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure adherence to operating budget; accountable for regional promotional spend on an annual basis.
- Oversee projects with short- to long-term focus that help develop the region.
- Demonstrate a consistent record of quality decisions that drive company profitability.
- Provide counsel on critical issues, creating customized business solutions and recommendations relative to the region.
- Accountable for BU Accounts Receivables.

What You'll Need

n




- Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of winery sales or distributor management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include 5 years in Sales, Marketing or National Account Management and/or Category Management; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of Gallo Sales/Distributor management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 14 years of winery sales or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 11 years of Gallo Sales/Distributor management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience working for a Multi-National Corporation or Travel Retail organization.
- Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
- Required to travel up to 50% of the time in order to conduct job duties.
- Required to have a passport in good standing for international travel.
- Proficient in English and Spanish.
