This role drives performance, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with Mexican, US, and German accounting standards.
The position requires full professional fluency in both English and Spanish Principal AccountabilitiesAccounts Receivable ManagementLead and motivate the accounts receivable team to achieve collection, accuracy, and service-level targets in both US ad MexicoOversee invoicing, cash application, and customer account reconciliation in compliance with local lawsMonitor customer aging, bad debt, and collection performance of the teamCoordinate dispute resolution with sales, logistics, and customer service teams and provide escalation where needed within the companyAudit & Internal ControlsAct as primary point of contact for internal and external auditors related to ARPrepare, review, and provide audit documentation and collaborate and oversee team support for audit, including discussion with auditors (internal and external) on topics related to AREnsure timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of corrective actionsPartner with internal audit, finance, IT,



and operations to strengthen controlsEnsure compliance with Mexican accounting standards (NIF), US GAAP (FASB), and German GAAP (HGB)Maintain strong internal controlsSupport internal and external audits related to ARReporting/CloseLead month-end and year-end close activities related to ARPrepare and review AR reporting for local management/auditorsSystems & Process ImprovementOversee AR modules within ERP systems (SAP preferred)Improve processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliancePeople Leadership & Team DevelopmentDirectly manage and develop AR accounting staff in all locationsDefine roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldExperience5+ years of accounting experience, with strong exposure to accounts receivable4+ Experience supervising accounting staffExperience in automotive companiesTechnical SkillsDeep knowledge of AR processes, credit, and collectionsKnowledge of Mexican tax regulations (SAT, CFDI)SAP experience Advanced Excel skillsLanguageFluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken) requiredTravelSome travel yearly to the United StatesLeadership CompetenciesConfident people manager with a hands-on leadership styleStrong communication skillsAbility to lead teams through change and tight deadlinesCollaborative, proactive, and results-drivenDetail-oriented with strong analytical abilityAbility to work cross-functionally and meet tight deadlinesAdditional InformationSend your resume with your economical expectations
