At Pocket FM, our mission is to deliver immersive storytelling experiences to a integral audience. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Writer to support content localization, AI-driven script adaptation, and storytelling optimization across our audio series.

Role Overview

As a Junior Writer, you will be responsible for adapting and localizing English content into Spanish - culturally relevant versions, ensuring narrative consistency, emotional depth, and audience engagement. You will work closely with editorial, production, and AI teams to refine scripts, monitor performance, and enhance content quality across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Development & Adaptation

- Review English show materials (audio/scripts) and prepare localization sheets and concept notes with strong cultural adaptation.
- Adapt scripts using designated GenAI tools, ensuring proper structuring, tone, and inclusion of emotion tags where required.
- Review and refine AI-generated translations to ensure alignment with editorial standards, cultural nuances, and narrative integrity.
- Incorporate editorial and technical feedback to revise and deliver high-quality, polished scripts.
- Deliver ~300 localized and AI-adapted scripts per month, adhering to timelines and quality benchmarks.

2. Quality Reviews & Continuous Improvement

- Review published audio episodes and provide structured feedback on AI-generated adaptations.
- Identify recurring issues in translation, tone, or storytelling and recommend improvements.




- Analyze user comments and feedback to enhance content quality and relevance.

3. Performance Monitoring & Optimization

- Monitor audience engagement metrics and feedback for assigned shows.
- Analyze underperforming episodes or story arcs and implement improvements to boost retention and engagement.
- Maintain consistency in writing style, tone, and episode flow across series.
- Use performance indicators (listen duration, retention, conversion) to drive content enhancements.

4. Production Support & Quality Assurance

- Suggest suitable voice-over artists based on character and project requirements.
- Ensure produced content aligns with creative intent and quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks on production samples and provide actionable feedback to ensure "first-time-right" output.

5. Promotion Support

- Develop concepts and draft scripts for promotional content (10–60 minutes) aligned with series positioning and storytelling goals.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Literature, Creative Writing, Media, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong storytelling skills with an understanding of narrative structure, character development, and pacing.
- Familiarity with AI-based writing or content adaptation tools is preferred.
- Experience in content localization, translation review, or scriptwriting is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across high-volume deliverables.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret user data and feedback.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced content production environment.
