This role is within CG's Business Optimization group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) collaborate with business stakeholders, understand business area pain points and processes, and identify problem statements, and then define goals and analyze requirements; (ii) Design, develop, test, implement, and support application functionality, within the manufacturing environment. Technology applications include: manufacturing shop floor, HR, EHS, Microsoft applications (e.g. SharePoint), and application integration., and (iii) Work with functional analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements; contribute to completion of functional specifications; create technical design specifications. Requires bachelor's degree in engineering and +4 years hands-on development experience with application development in one or more of the following: .Net, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL, PowerApp, PowerAutomate. Experience on at least one large, full lifecycle development project from design through post-go-live support and +4 years experience as an applications developer (Desirable).

- Work with business stakeholders to understand business processes, gaps, pain points, and objectives; elicit, define, and analyze requirements
- Work with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to understand functional requirements; define and design proposed solutions that meet requirements and adhere to platform and application design guidelines, strategies, and industry best practices
- Contribute to completion of functional specifications; create technical design specifications
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support application functionality, within the Chamberlain Group environment. Technology applications such as: SAP, HR, EHS, Microsoft applications (e.g. SharePoint, PowerApps, Power Automate), and application integration.

- Create deliverables according to the Software Development Lifecycle such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation
- Unit test application changes to ensure quality of work; analyze, debug, and resolve defects in applications
- Ensure developed applications or tool have proper ownership and support that will continuously monitor systems to enable smooth operations; support as needed to application owners on analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner; resolve end user service requests
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor degree in Engineering

Experience:

- 4+ years hands-on development experience with application development in one or more of the following: .Net, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL
- Experience on at least one large, full lifecycle development project from design through post-go-live support

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Strong understanding of application development tools, processes, and technologies
- Strong technical understanding of client-server environments, relational databases, and database design
- Strong skills in at least one of: (.Net, C#, C++, Java, SQL, VB, PowerApp, PowerBI, Power Automation) and development experience in more than one of these is required. Proficient with MS Office tools
- Strong business requirements analysis skills; ability to develop alternatives, identify pros and cons, and recommend preferred systems solutions to business problems, ability to translate business reporting needs into specific technical requirements and report designs
- Working knowledge of Agile software development processes and how to take a solution from concept through design, development, testing, and deployment
- Project Management: Able to create work breakdown structure and project plans and manage execution for small projects
- Communicates clearly and effectively in both written and verbal communications; able to clearly explain technical solutions to a business person.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and to rapidly learn and adapt to new business processes, technologies, and environments. Business Relationships: Builds strong relationships with stakeholders; appropriately manages stakeholder expectations; collaborates effectively
