Overview Engagement: Minimum 12‑month project (with potential extension)
HRIS Team Lead – Workday Implementation
Location: Remote (U.S. / Mexico Operations)
Travel: Occasional travel to Tacámbaro, Michoacán, Mexico during early implementation phases
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced HRIS Team Lead to lead the implementation of Workday across operations in the United States and Mexico. This role will coordinate the full implementation lifecycle, ensuring alignment between HR, IT, Finance, and external Workday partners.
The position is fully remote and structured as a minimum 12‑month engagement focused on delivering a successful Workday deployment and establishing a scalable HRIS infrastructure. The role may evolve into a long‑term ownership position for the Workday platform.
Responsibilities Lead the end‑to‑end Workday implementation roadmap across U.S. and Mexico operations.
Define and manage implementation milestones, KPIs, and governance structure.
Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and Workday implementation partners.
Coordinate cross‑functional teams including HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, and Operations.
Assess existing HR and payroll systems and design the data migration and integration strategy.
Oversee data transfer models ensuring accurate migration and data integrity.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and maintain implementation timelines.




Lead governance meetings and provide executive‑level status reporting.
Support post‑implementation transition, user training, and system adoption.
Establish long‑term HRIS processes and documentation for ongoing system management.
Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in HRIS, including direct experience implementing or administering Workday.
Demonstrated participation in HRIS or Workday implementations.
Strong understanding of HR data structures, integrations, and system architecture.
Experience coordinating cross‑functional system implementations.
Strong project management capabilities including roadmap planning and milestone tracking.
Experience supporting multi‑country HR operations.
Preferred Experience Experience implementing Workday across multiple countries or business units.
Knowledge of HR and payroll compliance in the United States and Mexico.
Familiarity with HRIS integrations, reporting frameworks, and analytics.
Experience working with external HRIS implementation partners.
Success Metrics Workday implementation delivered on time and within scope.
Successful migration and validation of HR data across both countries.
High adoption by HR, Finance, and leadership teams.
Operational HRIS governance established for long‑term scalability.
