Title: Cost Analyst
Role Summary
The Cost Analyst is the key financial support of the cost specialist and focus factory, and is a strategic partner to provide financial analyses and guidance to the operations team to ensure the long-term success of the focus factory.
Responsibilities
- Cost Analyst is responsible for the analyses of all the production variances with major focus on purchase price variances and providing the details needed to the plant, Finance,and Management in order to support the decision making and corrections needed.
- Responsible to keep monthly tracking of all the expenses that are related to the cost at the plant and proactively communicate risk and opportunities to better monitor and control the conversion cost.
- Responsible for supporting the Quarterly Standard Cost calculations for the focus factory, contract manufacturers and commercial skus for the category responsible, to ensure a timely submission of costs and intercompany prices for both materials and finished goods; collaborating with Global and Regional CBS, ensuring that master data is accurate and reviewing rate routings and providing all the explanations needed for changes to the cost.
- Responsible for preparing the material losses information weekly, verify proper calculation and provide insights that help improve the KPI.
- Responsible for ensuring that all the internal controls are in place and that are aligned with CFPs. Also provide support for all the Audit (Internal, External, Corporate and Fiscal and SOXs) processes at plant.
- Responsible for supporting the month-end financial closing (journal entries posting, expense reconciliation, headcount, reports review) and collaborating with Colgate Business Services (CBS) to achieve timely closes and maintain the financial integrity and accuracy of the data.
- Responsible for supporting the physical inventory and analysis for contract manufacturing EMO’s cost evaluation for Packing & Making. EMO’s expense reconciliation and budget tracking, prepress cost and obsolete.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration, preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting.
- English (intermediate to advanced).
- SAP or equivalent ERP system preferred.
- Accounting and Financial Expertise.
- Advance knowledge of Office / Google Suite (Sheets & Slides primarily).
- Excellent Financial Analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Data analytic with IA.
