We provide the raw footage; your job is to turn it into scroll-stopping, high-converting ads that drive measurable results.
About the Role
We are seeking a Performance Video Editor who understands marketing psychology, moves fast, and is obsessed with ad performance. This is not a role for long-form YouTube editors or those who simply splice clips together to music. We need a creative problem solver who understands why an ad converts.
You must deeply understand that editing for paid social is entirely different from organic content. Every second matters, and the first three seconds decide the success or failure of the campaign. You will receive raw client footage—talking heads, product b-roll, testimonials, and UGC—and transform it into clean, engaging, direct-response ads ready for Meta and TikTok.
You will work closely with our strategy team, receive clear creative briefs, and most importantly, review the vigente performance metrics of your edits to continuously iterate and improve. Strong English communication is essential, as you will be collaborating closely with our team and interpreting nuanced marketing feedback.
What You’ll Do
Your primary responsibility is direct-response editing, where you will turn raw footage into finished, high-converting video ads optimized for Meta, TikTok, and Instagram. This involves hook engineering to craft compelling, scroll-stopping hooks in the first three seconds of every video to maximize retention.
You will be responsible for creative execution, adding dynamic captions, strategic text overlays, pacing, music,
and sound effects designed to drive action. You will export and optimize ads in 9:16, 4:5, and 1:1 aspect ratios, and create two to three variations of ads (testing different hooks, CTAs, or pacing) for creative A/B testing.
You must be able to implement strategic feedback quickly and efficiently, delivering three to five high-quality ad edits per week while maintaining clean, organized project files.
Who This Role is NOT For
This role is not suited for long-form or YouTube editors whose primary experience is narrative storytelling over 10 minutes, as the rapid pacing required for ads will likely be frustrating. It is also not for "aesthetic only" editors who prioritize making a video look cinematic over making it convert. Finally, we are not looking for order takers; we want someone who understands the strategic reasoning behind an edit, rather than someone who follows a timeline blindly.
What We're Looking For
Proven Ad Experience
1–2+ years of experience specifically editing direct-response video ads for Meta or TikTok.
Marketing Mindset
A strong understanding of marketing psychology, visual hooks, pacing for retention, messaging, and Call-to-Actions (CTAs).
Technical Proficiency
Advanced experience with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent professional software.
Excellent Communication
Clear, fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
to ensure seamless team collaboration and understanding of complex briefs.
Portfolio
A strong portfolio showcasing your specific work on paid social video ads (not just organic TikToks or YouTube videos).
Reliability
Ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and maintain a reliable internet connection.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with Adobe After Effects for advanced motion graphics is a strong plus. We also value experience leveraging AI editing tools, such as CapCut AI, Descript, or Opus Clip, to speed up workflows. A genuine, ongoing interest in consumer psychology and digital advertising trends will help you excel in this role.

$800–$1,400 USD/month depending on experience, paid in USD.
