Full-time – 100% on-site – Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Salary range: $16,000 - $20,000 MXN per month
Monthly bonus for meeting KPIs: from the 2nd month $4,000 to $7,000, based on KPIs)
YOUR ROLE:
As part of the team, you will support the Trade Compliance Specialist - Import/Export Logistics team in Fastenal Mexico's export/import shipments and process payments to carriers and customs brokers. You will perform and fulfill various tasks related to customer service and international freight forwarding, making you the liaison between Fastenal Mexico's sales team and customs brokers. This person will report to the Mexico Trade Compliance team, while helping to continue research, create solutions, develop new routes, and enforce regulations throughout Mexico. Some of the key areas this team supports are sales, trade compliance, supply chain, operations, and logistics.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Ensuring that all import/export operations comply with applicable regulations.
- Identifying and mitigating compliance risks in international logistics processes.
- Keeping up to date with regulatory changes and adapting internal processes accordingly.
- Overseeing the daily execution of exports and imports.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs, and other logistics stakeholders.
- Ensure the accuracy of documentation, delivery times, and compliance with internal regulations.
- Act as a key user of internal reservation systems and logistics platforms.
- Stay up to date on import processes and digital tools.
- Implement continuous improvements in logistics and regulatory compliance processes.
- Analyze data to detect inconsistencies or risks of non-compliance.
- Prepare reports for audits, internal reviews, or regulatory authorities.
- Maintain detailed records of operations and customs documentation.
- Act as a liaison between operations, regulatory compliance, IT, and other functional areas.
- Provide support to internal teams and external partners.
- Lead training sessions on regulations and logistics best practices.
- Generate logistics solutions that consistently drive cost savings.
REQUIREMENTS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
- Valid visa and passport
- Valid driver's license
- Advanced conversational English (C1)
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- Strong customer service skills with initiative to solve problems.
- Highly motivated, customer service oriented.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning/decision-making skills.

- Use of tools: Microsoft Office, Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 1 year of work experience in logistics or regulatory compliance. (Desirable)
