Role/Responsibilities



Our Corporate Finance Group (CFG) in México is hiring a Vice President, Senior Analyst who will manage a portfolio of diverse,

investment and speculative-grade companies across a range of industries. This is a high-profile opportunity for someone who is passionate about using their credit and analytic skills, while engaging with C-suite executives, finance and credit specialists, internally and externally.



What you will do in this role



You will articulate well-formed credit views to the company and the broader marketplace. Your research, along with targeted outreach, will enhance Moody’s relevance and expand our brand and reputation as a trusted source. You will also promote and embody the highest ethical and performance standards in your research.



Analytics/Monitoring



- Conduct quantitative assessment of financial statements and economic/market data, as well as intensive analysis of bond indentures,

liquidity agreements, official statements and other legal documents.

- Conduct initial and ongoing credit analysis on a dedicated portfolio of companies.

- Actively monitor portfolio and make recommendations for rating transitions in a timely fashion.

- Formulate a cogent rating rationale and present this rationale in a persuasive fashion at rating committee while leading the committee discussion.

- Demonstrate rating judgment as evidenced by the ability to distinguish among different entities at different ratings levels



Research



- Produce timely and relevant research on specific issuers, general credit trends, or sector related issues that is in-depth, high quality, insightful and focused.



Issuer/Investor Relations





- Build and maintain high profile relationships with investors and issuers, interacting frequently based upon industry and topical research written.

- Develop Moody’s franchise through intermediary marketing and visibility initiatives (e.g. conference participation).

- Lead issuer meetings, including communicating key rating factors effectively and asking probing questions that result in substantive dialog about key rating issues



Communications



- Present credits effectively and accurately in rating committees and other internal analytical meetings.

- Mentor and develop junior analysts and support associates.



Qualifications



Academic Qualifications



- Graduate or rost-graduate degree Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a finance-related discipline

- MBA or CFA preferred





Work experience/background



- 7+ years of experience in credit/risk assessment experience gained from a financial institution, asset management, or proven equivalent

- Previous experience at managing workflows, processes, and deadlines

- Well-developed analytical skills

- Experience in relationship management with issuers

- Strong written and oral communication capabilities

- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities within deadlines.



Language Skills



- Advanced written and oral command of English and Spanish required

- Knowledge of Portuguese will be advantageous
