Senior Quality Engineer (Aguascalientes)

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer.

What you’ll do:

Primary Function - Job Summary
Support the development of a quality culture through educating the organization to the need for continuous improvement giving customers of Eaton’s commitment with quality.

Essential Functions - Job Responsibilities
Quality Engineer responsible to control and monitoring lifter aseemby lines KAM 2, L4 and sub-assembles and their customers:
1. Monitoring process to assure meet the customer specification requirements (Cleanliness test, viscocity, leakdown, etc)
2. Develop and implement process control, include control sheets, Inspection plans, Visual Aids.
3.



Identify mehods for data collection and applicability of data to operator control.
4. Lead and participate on development and implementation of Control Plan (CP).
5. Assist in the development and monitoring of PFMEA’s, FD and PPAP’s.
6. Direct and conduct process potential studies & sample layout of new or revised processes.
7. Lead & provide a fomal response to customers complains (identify root cause & define corrective actions).
8. Participate and support structured problem solving to improve proces.
9. Follow up of corrective action process for internal rejects.
10. Sustain and complying with quality management system (IATF, EQMS, CSR, CQI & CSR).
11. Assist in the development & presentation of cost of quality measurements.
12. Participate as a member of APQP teams to bring product to market.
13. Participation during Internal and external audits and follow up CA process for non-conformance issues found.
14. Define / Implement corrective and preventive actions for Internal and external audits.
15. Support the initiatives of the 8 CIF modules on daily basis through establishing,



maintaining and complying Standard Work and other tools. Participate in Kaizen events,
Lean Council and Continuous Improvement teams when required. Generate ideas for improvement according with the local programs. Implement and optimize Lean
Management tools. Sustain the ELLS tools (VSM, 5´s, TMP, STW, Set up, Problem Solving, Materials Management and 6 Sigma) to drive the continuous improvement
performance when apply.
16. Review customer portals score cards and subbmit approval process for MFG changes based on customer portals and manuals.
17 Keep database updated with customer peformance information likes PPMs, rejected pieces, event quantity, etc.
18. Lead and coordinate customer visits.

Qualifications:

Education level required

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Years of experience required

- 3 years experience





Technical knowledge

- Solid knowledge of engineering techniques & manufacturing processes
- Statistical knowledge and process control, including gauge repeatability & reproductibility studies
- Solid Knowledge to create control plans and safe launch activities.
- Knowledge on problem solving tools
- Knowledge of develop process control documentation.
- Strong knowledge in assembly process.
- Basic GD&T; knowledges

Diplomas/certifications

- Certificate Quality Engineer (Desired)
- Six Sigma: yellow or green belt (Desired)
- Internal Auditor (Desired)

English level

- Ability to communicate in the English language (Advanced)

Systems

- Computer literacy, including spreadsheets, database maintenance & CAD
- Statistical softwares (Minitab, InfinityQS; Office package; Oracle; Document Management;





Functional Competencies

- Proficiency in problem solving & quality techniques including:
- Core Tools 1.SPC / 2. PMEA / 3. PPAP / 4. 8-D problem solving / 5. APQP / 6. MSA / 7. Capability Analysis
