The Consolidation & Reporting (C&R;) Systems group is responsible for owning and managing the Alcon group consolidation and reporting systems covering consolidation (FCRS) and management reporting (MAAP, ASPIRE, BPC, Wdata, etc). The group is responsible to deliver the technical monthly consolidation and subsequent flow of data to management and external reporting systems. The C&R; Systems team members should be familiar with the financial month-end lifecycle from journal entry transactions in the ERP systems (mainly SAP), through the financial consolidation process and to management and external reporting. The role of the Manager, Reporting Operations (Financial Reporting)

is to maintain and run existing applications that C&R; systems team is business owner of (e.g. SAP BW / BPC systems: MAAP-FCRS, MAAP-APMR, ASPIRE) as well as to participate in the design, test, decision-making and implementation of new systems and system enhancement as part of the Transformation initiative. This also includes change management, providing communication and training to the C&R; group and key stakeholders like local, regional and global BPA and FRA. The Manager, Reporting Operations is the first point in contact in the American time zone and therefore needs to be able to act independently. Key responsibilities around financial month-end close are ensuring that C&R; systems owned applications contain accurate and complete financial information used for internal and external reporting purposes as well as business decision making at Management levels within the organization. This includes system master data maintenance, data validations, coordination with IT to resolve any incidences on the applications as well as end-user support (main point of contact for America region). Further responsibilities include the support of the Senior Financial Reporting Manager in system enhancements and cross-functional projects (e.g. improving visibility of personnel costs in ASPIRE P&L;, automation of month end close deck creation). Ensure system design meets requirements from internal and external reporting perspective Primary application owner for ASPIRE BW – P&L;, CF (RMIX 2.0) Ownership of master data activities (e.g. market hierarchies) Ensure the integrity, viability, and accuracy of the above mentioned systems Participate in the design, test, decision-making and implementation of system implementations / enhancements and reporting changes, including change management and communication Coordinate with ERP / IT teams on resolving system incidents and on system or reporting changes (day-to-day & projects) Contain a simplification and automation mindset to help drive efficiencies within the C&R; system team Operationalize robust standard processes supported by tools and systems, reflecting best practices, supported by a control framework Ensure high level of solution usability while meeting business requirements Support FRA Operations in providing timely reports to monitor financial results (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs) Timely execution of month end closing with high level of data integrity across C&R; systems Perform operational activities on all supported tools, with hand-off between locations and time zones to provide continuous global coverage (primary point of contact for America region). Perform quarterly Balance Sheet segment allocation in collaboration with Technical Accounting to support Intangible Asset impairment review process Provide back-up support as needed for cross-location and cross-application support for other C&R; system team members Perform detailed financial statements review when required (i.e. ratio and trend analysis, valuation, impairment testing) to monitor key risks and follow up on action items Ensure relevant SoX requirements are met Participation in the following C&R; processes to ensure an efficient Alcon Finance function Deliver the training program on C&R; systems Work with key finance customers – both global and local FRA/BPA users to ensure understanding of the financial data and reporting capabilities Represent C&R; system team in cross-functional projects
