Job Description : Purpose of the Role Lead the T2 and T3 level within the site, to deliver world class performance in all aspects of the balanced scorecard (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost). Coordinate and develop departmental resources to meet balanced business scorecard Lead and advocate good governance to ensure that all health, safety and environment, quality, cost and reliability standards are met. Drive conformance to regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g. ISO/HACCP etc.) and CARM controls in area to deliver successful GAR audits Lead & advocate the MMS Programme within area of responsibility to develop performance, standards, capabilities and asset care to exceed balanced scorecard targets.
Set & achieve MMS departmental deployment plan working in partnership with the ME Manager. Provide outstanding leadership through strategic and systemic coaching, guidance and support to all direct reports and their teams, to facilitate achievement of department targets. Effective at leading multifunctional workgroups in problem solving. Builds a strong working relationship with Site Engineering Manager and Manex Manager Responsible for the skill and competence of each team Develop budgetary and capital plans, review existing equipment capacity and manpower in order to meet long range planning goals which are aligned to site and company strategy. Actively spend 50% of time on shop floor. Key Accountabilities Upholding standards through practices Lead the deployment of all MMS practices at Tier 2 & 3 Allocate day to day resources to achieve all departmental KPI's. Has day to day accountability for the R&M; budget as allocated from the Engineering Manager. Maintain and improve asset quality and reliability through effective use of Diageo AC systems. Set objectives and priorities and lead the change management processes for the department. Be disciplined about the importance of adhering to standards across the site. Expect others to be disciplined and never walk past anything which doesn’t meet the standard Problem solving for performance Respond immediately to issues as they are exposed. Invoke consequences for poor performance. Coach direct reports to identify areas of under-performance. Encourage a breakthrough mind-set to problems faced and empower people to take ownership Role model the use of systemic root cause problem solving tools and look for evidence of their use by line teams. Coach individuals to use & apply RCPS tools and methodology (5 whys/DMAIC) Identify need for multi -disciplinary problem solving teams to address systemic problems Managing Change for continuous improvement Role model the leading and management of change. Paint a compelling vision of the future. Develop direct reports and employees to be the best they can be through effective breakthrough performance coaching and engagement Deliver P4G conversations and personal development plans for all direct reports and hold them accountable for doing the same for their teams Manage relationships, internal and external to achieve world class performance outcomes. Entry level requirements – skills and experience Qualifications Degree level qualification or equivalent ideally in an engineering or science-related discipline or qualified through relevant experience Experience At least 7 years leadership experience and a great track record in a world class FMCG production/manufacturing environment Strong understanding of distilling, processing & plant technologies A proven champion of manufacturing excellence leadership, management, tools & techniques Proven ability to build a high performance climate within large multi-disciplined teams by effectively setting performance standards and coaching and developing others to achieve them Proven track record as a great coach Sound and proven financial acumen Track record of great engagement and communication skills Proficient in use of standard business (MS Office) and Diageo packages Worker Type :Fixed Term Contract (Fixed Term) Primary Location:El Charcon Additional Locations : Job Posting Start Date : 2021-04-26-07:00
