Project Managment

Role Purpose. Manage, monitor and report progress, issues, dependencies, risks to the Programme Manager and/or steering committees and make recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization

Main activities:

- Manage scope, milestones and budget across projects to ensure completion of project goals

- Develop and provide direction and guidance to team in developing appropriately structured and detailed project plans focused on managing the delivery and governance within a product

- Identify and track project interdependencies to ensure timely and successful delivery

- Working with the Product Owner and Technical Product Manager to establish effective controls, procedures and quality assurance processes for the product, in line with Group Risk and Controls framework

- Ensure that work carried out by the products is in alignment with HSBC Group change methodologies

- Manage relationships and coordinate work activities (including suppliers / subcontractors)

- Identify, track, prioritize and drive resolution of project level issues, leveraging lessons learned from prior experience and work to address and mitigate systemic issues




- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe),

- Project Management tools,

- JIRA, Confluence.

- Excellent estimating, planning and monitoring skills.

- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple, complex, competing demands/work streams successfully, to deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing technical environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including capacity to articulate stance and alternatives to Business users; ability to build and maintain good working relationships at a range of levels (internally and externally.)

- Ability to work under pressure, for long periods either individually or as part of a team.

- Ability to work with minimal supervision.

- Extensive knowledge of project life cycles.

- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to manage to resolution.

- Ability to understand and interpret complex Business requirements.

- Proactive and self-motivated.

- High Customer-focus.

- Flexible, confident and open

- Good communication skills to interact with various business and Local teams and should be able to ask the right questions.

- Good track record of successful project management and implementation of complex programs or projects.
