• Creating and maintaining an effective records management system in support of the Safety program; this includes the proper completion and maintenance of records and reports as necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation/regulation.
• Responsible for the implementation and coordination of in-house Occupational Health and Safety program, including employees training and other instruction in the safe handling and use of company product, materials and/ or equipment.
• Responsible for the implementation and coordination of programs that prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions.
• Schedule,
coordinate and attend the monthly Health and Safety Committee meeting and responsible for the timely closure of all safety related matters.
• In conjunction with the Worker members of the Health & Safety committee and Management Team to conduct monthly in-house workplace inspection ensure enforcement of safety practices and policies.
• Assist employees with safety related concerns.
• Ensure that all safety concerns are brought forth to the attention of Management and follow up as needed.
• Document all incidents/accidents and provide resolutions and timely review with Management.
• Assisting with hazard identification/risk assessment as part of accident/incident investigation to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for process improvement
Experiencia y requisitos
MANDATORY
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 3 years experience as safety and industrial superintendent/coordinator.
English 70%
• Working knowledge of safety programs, systems, procedures, and techniques; this includes knowledge of or the ability to research related legislation/regulation.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and to be proactive.
- Management skills and can also operate as a team player.
