POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Global Learning is responsible for leading learning operations, curriculum development, execution,

and evaluation of EO’s existing and future global learning events, virtual learning initiatives, and executive education programs. The incumbent will assess EO member development needs and, in response, ensure a variety of EO learning programs and partnerships to meet these needs. S/he demonstrates contract negotiation and conflict resolution skills for the success of each program.

EO will hire in the following states: VA, MD, DC, FL, CO, NC, KY, NH, VT, TX, CT, OH, WA

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees programming, live and online, from concept to execution in the following ways:narrative/event concept development;

learning event scheduling from instructional design methodology;

content provider/ member stakeholder contract negotiation and management, including working in partnership with key stakeholders to develop content;

conducting site visits for planning learning events;

onsite/ online supervision and execution;

program evaluation of new and existing programs;

ongoing messaging and marketing.



Leads the Global Learning team and ensures successful program delivery, collaboration with internal and external units, and team motivation.

Liaises with various learning subcommittees and works cooperatively with the Virtual Learning team to fulfill virtual learning initiatives.

Maintains an active learning component to their own portfolio including competitor analyses, new learning technologies, and best practices across the industry; as well as being knowledgeable of future trends in the learning industry.

Provides onsite/online leadership and assistance to the Learning Team including support with global learning events, GLC, member leader training, or partnership events as requested.

Manages and motivates global learning staff to continual and sustainable success, and works in partnership with virtual learning leadership to facilitate cross training amongst all learning team members.

Ability to create the future of learning for EO members in collaboration with various stakeholders (inclusive of the Learning team and Learning Committee.

Manages overall contracts and negotiation and program processes with content providers, executive education partners, and vendors.

Provides ongoing data reports such as monthly metrics, monthly and program budget tracking and analyses, and executive education statistics. Proactively work with learning leadership team for how to meet and exceed set goals and initiatives.

Supports the learning committee by fulfilling ongoing committee deliverables.

Oversees new member leader recruitment in the Path of Leadership (PoL) process for learning subcommittees within global learning.

Gathers data research such as member needs, speaker credentials, site locations, demographics, usage data, and evaluations as needed.

Serves as point of contact to learning inquiries within the global staff community.

Performs other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, education, or related fields of study.

Minimum 4 years’ learning or event-related program development and execution experience.

Experience with project management, including organization of people and programs and coordinating marketing.

Virtual learning/Instructional design experience, certification preferred.

Strong ability to work in teams with high accountability.

Experience in contract negotiation and conflict resolution preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, fluency in a second language preferred.

International experience in a fast paced and high pressure environment.

Ability and willingness to work with ease across cultures, geographies, and time zones.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, both domestic and cross borders.



ADA SPECIFICATIONS

The employee is normally required to work in a high-rise building equipped with elevators in an environment where the noise level is usually moderate. May be assigned to an internal work space without windows to the outside, located in close proximity to other office personnel.

Professional workplace where business casual attire is required.

Ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment.

Willingness and availability to travel both within the US and internationally up to 25% of the time is required.
