Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.What your background should look like:
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Floor Plant Designer.
Leader for all line and technology transfer projects.
Responsible for making improvements and new lay-outs proposals with lean methods and designs
Redesign processes to create value stream, reduce waste, increase productivity and increase the efficiency of production lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform analysis of times and movements.
Improve current processes, procedures, playbooks.
Collection and analysis of process data.
Line balancing, identification of dead times & bottlenecks.
Identification and progressive elimination of the 8 Wastes.
Continuous analysis of the root causes of the areas of opportunity identified.
Determine the processes of essential and critical requirements of the productive, includes: tool, visual aids, technical training, multi-skills matrix.
Design more efficient and productive work methods.
Projects to reduce engineering costs, product route, cost per manufactured part.
Improve efficiency and productivity from an Engineering perspective.
Monitoring of KPIs, generation of action plans when the metric is not being met.
Stabilization and control of processes.
Plant layout: Material flows. Productive areas available and used (space capacities). Management of staff lay-out, availability and release of spaces.
